Personality: While she may seem to just be a girl in pink miniskirt, Ashe is a very strong and individualistic character, unlike most other girls. She despises her own weakness and pretends they are not there, so often aims for things not within her reach. She aims for very high and knows how to get it, yet she forgets her own disabilities that might prove to be her failure. A very emotional and sensitive character, she may appear to be unstable and quick to anger but it is merely her strong passion for everything around her that shaped her to be so.

She was devastated by the death of her husband and also her family, but does not want to show her weakness. Her grief she turned into anger for Basch, the one who supposedly murdered the King and possibly Rasler also, and for the Empire, who took over her beloved Dalmasca. Ashe craves for power but does not want it for the sake of being powerful, but for it to be as means for her to reclaim her throne as well as complete her revenge. Other than that, Ashe is also very stubborn to the point that many will find her irritable, but it is that trait of hers that kept her from killing herself when she lost everything...

Abilities/Weaponry: Sword and intermediate healing magic.

Weaknesses: She is overly-emotional and sometimes unrealistic. She is used to having all her wishes fulfilled and so wishes for no less from herself and others around her. Her most fatal weakness, however, is that she does not want to recognize that she is just human and that she is not as strong as she makes herself seem.



History: Ashe is the only daughter of King Raminas of Dalmasca. She had eight brothers whom passed away from disease or war, leaving her to be the last in line for the throne. While Dalmasca is a very small country in terms of territory, it is actually very rich as can be seen from the elaborate decorations all over the capital city of Rabanastre. Even the dungeons are very ornately furnished with stones of many colors. The Kingdom, as well as another small Kingdom of Nabradia, is located between two giant Kingdoms of Rozzalia and Archadia. In the year 706 Old Valendian, Ashe is wedded to Lord Rasler from the neighboring Kingdom of Nabradia. While the initial motive of the marriage was for political purposes, Ashe seems to be very fond of Rasler nonetheless.

The marriage did not last very long as in the same year, Archadia moved to take over Nabudis, murdering Rasler's father, the King of Nabradia. Rasler went off to war for nothing as Nabradia fell into the enemy's hand and he lost his life. Ashe was deeply wounded by this, and lost all hope that came with her marriage. Archadia then offers a peace treaty for Dalmasca, which is actually just a declaration of surrender. Not wanting anymore blood to be shed, King Raminas agreed to sign the peace declaration and so traveled to Nalbina Fortress to sign it. Little did he know that Archadia planned on murdering the King right after the treaty is signed.

After the murder of the King, Dalmasca went into turmoil. Vossler, a loyal Dalmascan knight, seeks to protect the Princess, the one last in line for the throne and the rightful heir to the throne of Dalmasca now that the King has passed away. In the middle of the chaos, he hdies the Princess and attempts to rescue her from the palace of Rabanastre so that she would not be murdered by Archadia. On the way to the hiding place that he has prepared, however, they are waylaid by Archadian army. Vossler tells Ashe to escape and so she runs blindly to wherever her feet may take her. It seemed as if an eternity has passed since she started running, and finally looking around at her new surrounding, she realizes that she is definitely not in Dalmascan territory anymore. In the distance, she sees tall domes obscuring the horizon and stepping closer she finds herself face to face with the golden gates of Muspelheim...
